Green Building Practices
LBA currently has multiple buildings with solar installations generating a renewable energy and consists of rooftop applications and solar carports in various LBA markets. We continue to actively review opportunities within the portfolio to expand our solar program.
LED lights can reduce consumption by over 80% when compared to convention al light bulbs and can last up to 25% longer. LBA continuously assesses our portfolio for LED lighting retrofits where feasible.
Electric Vehicle Charging Stations
As part of LBA's sustainability platform, we offer our industrial tenants access to tap into our sustainability resources. We provide a national program for EV charging stations through ChargePoint with standards and evaluation to make it easy to add stations where desired.
As an LBA standard, we often replace our building roofs with cool roofs. By doing this, we are able to reduce energy consumption by reflecting sunlight and repealing heat, which lowers indoor temperatures.
Sustainable Design & Construction
Projects that incorporate sustainable design elements and follow environmental best practices in their construction process offer direct environmental, economic and societal benefits. LBA paves the way to achieve reduction in energy consumption & emissions and reduce waste sent to landfills.
LEED Certified Buildings
Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design ("LEED") is a global green building certification program run by the U.S. Green Building Council ("USGBC"). LBA utilizes LEED across our portfolio as a framework to insure we are operating our buildings with the highest standards of building efficiency and practices. We are also a member of USGBC.
